Proposed Standards Currently in Process

APSO standards are subject to a continual process of review and updating on a regular basis. We believe that any standards we publish must be developed according to sound principles, be based in current evidence, and be subject to review and comment by all audiologists in the profession. For more information about standards development processes, visit our home page and click on the link for Developing Standards.

Please check back periodically as proposed standards and calls for subject matter experts will be posted to this page first. You may also want to consider becoming a member of APSO to support our work and to receive advance notice of proposed standards and standards open for review and comment.

If you do not wish to become a member, we encourage you to join our email distribution list so that you may receive periodic notices of our activities, including new standards development, comment periods for standards in process, and newly approved standards.

The following standards are currently proposed for development:

S4.2 Infection Control in Audiology Clinics
