Gail Whitelaw, PhD

Gail M. Whitelaw, Ph.D. is an audiologist, audiology faculty member, and clinic director at The Department of Speech and Hearing Science at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. She is also the Audiology Faculty member on the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (LEND) grant at the Nisonger Center at Ohio State. She is interested in many of the more boutique areas of audiology including working with patients with tinnitus, hyperacusis, auditory processing disorder, functional hearing losses, and pediatrics and also teaches in these areas. Dr. Whitelaw is also interested in professional development, specifically leadership education, and in clinical education. She is a past president of the Ohio Academy of Audiology, a past president of the American Academy of Audiology, and a past chair of the Board of Governors of the American Board of Audiology. Dr. Whitelaw discovered the profession of audiology when she was 11 and has enjoyed learning about it, doing it, teaching about it, or discussing it every day since then.
